Platinum Stars look to upset Baroka

Platinum Stars are still searching for their second Absa Premiership victory and will now want to beat log leaders Baroka FC when they meet on Sunday afternoon at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Kick-off is at 3:30pm.

Dikwena came close to securing the full three points when they hosted Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday night, but were not clinical upfront as the match ended 0-0.

The Rustneburg-based side currently sits at number 15 on the log table with eight points and a win will see them moving up to the mid table to ease their relegation concerns.

Coach Roger De Sa's men are separated from the 16th placed Bidvest Wits by goal difference at the bottom and will want to keep improving.

Looking at the Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele, they are out to maintain their unbeaten run and keep their top spot while using their home advantage.

Meeting a bottom-placed outfit would seemingly come as an easy assignment, but coach Kgoloko Thobejane must ensure they are disciplined at the back.

Baroka are also coming from a draw against Cape Town City in the Mother City.

Leading the Absa Premiership with 18 points from 11 matches comes as a huge motivator for the Limpopo side.
