POST MALONE IS CURRENTLY THE ‘MOST STREAMED ARTIST IN THE WORLD’

                                         Post Malone

Post Malone has been crowned the “Most Streamed Artist in the World.”

According to his label Republic Records, who gave him the title, Malone currently owns the top spots across Spotify and Apple Music. White Iverson’s 21 Savage-assisted “rockstar” is No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, but it’s also in its second week atop the Streaming Songs chart. It was streamed 49.7 million times this past week, according to Billboard.

Elsewhere on the Streaming Songs chart, Malone has “Congratulations” (No. 15) and “I Fall Apart” (No. 18), proving that his hitmaking skills are in tact. Past smashes include “White Iverson” and “Deja Vu.”

According to Republic, “rockstar” and “I Fall Apart” are also No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on Spotify and Apple Music. The former track has more than 2 million daily plays on Spotify, while the latter has more than 1 million. Meanwhile, “Congratulations” clocks in about 750,000 plays a day, according to domestic data.

But around the world, Malone’s streaming power is even stronger. According to Spotify, “rockstar’s” global numbers surpass 6 million plays a day, keeping it at No. 1. Meanwhile, “I Fall Apart” is at No. 13 with more than 2 million plays.

Additionally, “rockstar” broke the “all-time highest first-week streaming debut in Canada,” and “the single week streaming record with over 5.3 million streams.”

“rockstar” is set to appear on Malone’s forthcoming album Beerbongs & Bentleys. Meanwhile, “I Fall Apart” and “Congratulations” are cuts off his debut Stoney, which dropped last year.

Although Stoney has been on the charts for more than 43 weeks, it has recently seen a resurgence of streams and purchases. The effort is currently in its peak position, at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. Posty is also on his “Stoney Tour,” which is set to end Oct. 31 in Atlanta.
